Frequently Asked Questions
I’d like to request a quote. Where does the process go from there?
Building solid relationships is a central part of who we are. We begin with a free consultation, whether in person or by phone, to discuss your needs, objectives, and deadlines. Based on our conversation, we will write up a work summary that includes a fee estimate. If you still would like to go ahead with the project, we will email a contract that needs to be signed and returned.
From this point forward, the copywriting begins. Research is integral to the work process and is already included in our fees. We will ask for as much background and information that you can provide so we can deliver our best work and make the entire copywriting process easier for you.
Our work also includes up to three rounds of revisions. Writing is a collaborative effort and we want you to be completely satisfied with our work, so we encourage you to exercise your revisions. Once we submit the first draft over to you, please review it and provide your feedback. Open communication will result in the highest quality work, so we will maintain contact with you throughout the revision process.
What are your fees?
Every project is unique and hardly ever falls neatly into a specific category. For that reason, we evaluate fees based on the original quote form you submit and the initial free consultation. Our fees are constructed by hour to give you better flexibility and fair rates. We also require a 33% deposit for all projects.
Do you only take local clients?
Great question! The answer is no, we will work with you regardless of where you are located. Thank technology for paperless solutions such as email to bring us closer together!
Why doesn’t your website include a larger portfolio of previous work?
We respect the work and confidentiality of our clients, who own the rights to what we produce once it is completed. We will not put it up for public view.
Will I own the rights for the copywriting you do for me?
Yes. Once a project is completed it becomes a part of your organization. We may, however, ask for permission to use a copy of the work for our own records and portfolio.
Does owning the rights to a project mean I cannot return the work if I choose not use it?
Unfortunately, yes. Once completed, fees for a project will still apply even if you decide not to use it.
